Happy Halloween!

I hope everyone had a great Halloween evening! I had fun handing out candy to all of the kids who came to my door, from the mute toddlers to the red M&M (who was also very quiet). Even the teens old enough to need to shave! Okay, it was just the one kid... and oddly enough he was dressed as a cheerleader. I had to giggle at that one... must have spent too much time putting on the blond wig and forgot to pull out the razor, or maybe that was the point? Hmmm.... could be.

On to the card I made after the Trick or Treating was done. I pulled out the Wishing You Cheer stamp set that will be available for 20% off until November 3rd. Then I pulled out some of my favorite Wintergreen Designer Series paper, which coincidently will also be part of a Stampin' Up! special in November. Oh, you want to know what the special is? Here you go: Buy 3 packs of Designer paper and receive a 4th one for free.

Quick notes: card base is a 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" piece of Naturals White cardstock folded in half. Wintergreen Designer Series paper was paper pierced and then adhered to a 5 3/8" x 4 1/8" piece of Sage Shadow which was glued to the card base. The Merry Christmas sentiment from Holidays & Wishes stamp set was inked in Black StazOn and stamped on a 1" x 5 1/4" piece of Bordering Blue cardstock which was then paper pierced and layered on a 1 1/4" x 5 1/4" piece of Always Artichoke. A crystal brad was added and then the piece was adhered to the card base.

The tree from Wishing You Cheer was stamped in Black StazOn on Whisper White cardstock and then colored with markers. Dazzling Diamonds Glitter was applied to the tree trimmings, star and snow to add more glitz. The tree was then layered on a piece of Sage Shadow cardstock and then paper pierced. More crystal brads and some ribbon scraps were added and the piece was affixed to the card with Stampin' dimensionals. Finally, the upper left corner looked a little bare so I punched a couple of pieces of cardstock with the Photo Corner Punch. The smaller Blue Bayou photo corner was layered on a larger Bordering Blue one and then paper pierced. I trimmed the Bordering Blue photo corner just a tad and then adhered to the card with Stampin' dimensionals.
