Z-Fold Card

Beate at Fresh & Fun posted a really fun Weekend Sketch Callenge yesterday: a Z-Fold Card that I just had to make. Beate's has some great directions on her blog for cutting and scoring the card base.

Quick Notes: Card base is an 4 1/4" x 11" piece of Pumpkin Pie cardstock scored at 5 1/2" and 8 1/4". I stamped two of the smaller flowers from Doodle This on watercolor paper and colored with Watercolor Wonder Crayons and an AquaPainter. I then cut the flowers out with paper snips. I stamped Thinking of You from the Sincere Salutations stamp set on Naturals White cardstock, ticked two of the corners with the ticket corner punch and paper pierced the edges. Added a little ribbon and a few brads and mounted the sentiment on a piece of the retired Marigold Morning cardstock (I so wish SU! still carried this color).

I mounted one of the trimmed flowers on a 1 3/8" square of Old Olive cardstock and adhered to the Pumpkin Pie card base with Scotch foam mounting tape (could also use dimensionals). The trick is to just adhere the one side so you can tuck the front panel under it when the card is closed.
