Christmas Joy

There is snow on the ground! Just a couple inches but enough to put me in the Christmas mood and I have just the card to go with it! It is probably one of the most distressed cards that I have ever made... but I love how it turned out! And it has oodles of texture which was really fun to work with! :) Sorry the picture is at such a weird angle... but I took a half dozen and this one is the best. I was having a bad camera moment when I took these (sorta like a bad hair day... ha ha!).

Notes: Real Red cardstock was wheeled with the So Swirly Jumbo wheel in Real Red Classic ink. It was also stamped with the Sanded Background in Bravo Burgundy Classic ink and the edges sponged with Chocolate Chip. The next layer is a piece of Figgy Pudding (edges sponged with Always Artichoke) layered on Always Artichoke cardstock. A piece of brown striped May Arts ribbon was knotted around this piece and three vintage brads were added to the upper right corner. The main layer is a piece of Mellow Moss cardstock wheeled with So Swirly in Mellow Moss Classic ink. The corners were rounded, edges were sponged with Always Artichoke and "Christmas" from Everyday Flexible Phrases was stamped in the upper left corner in Chocolate Chip Classic ink. The piece was layered on Always Artichoke (edges sponged in Chocolate Chip) with Stampin' dimensionals. For the main sentiment three letters from the On Board Lots of Letters chipboard set were sponged with Real Red Classic ink, coated with VersaMark and Heat n' Stick powder, heated with a heat tool, coated a second time with Dazzling Diamonds glitter and then given a final quick set with the heat tool.

Here is a close up of the Really Red glittery letters. They look more pink in the full card but that is just my camera's fault (or operator error... he he). You can also see the So Swirly a little better on the Real Red layer in this picture... it shows up much better on the actual card then it does in the pictures I took.
