Another week, another Tuesday... isn't it funny how that works? :) This week Beate really picked a doozy of an Inspiration Challenge: butterfly lanterns from Coldwater Creek. They are very lovely but weren't cooperating with the Stamper's Block I developed over the weekend. And why oh why does this occur when you have new rubber in the house? He he... but I eventually pulled the mojo together and decided that I had to incorporate metal of some sort, butterflies and a bit of chocolate (of course!). :)
If you have a moment or two check out the cards made by the rest of the Inspiration Challenge Team: Charmaine Ikach, Dawn McVey, Jenn Balcer, Silke Ledlow and Susan Roberts. I've seen a couple of them already and they are fantastic!
Quick notes: Pretty Petals background was stamped in VersaMark on Close to Cocoa and heat embossed with Gold embossing powder. I then used one of the stamps from Itty Bitty Backgrounds and stamped in Close To Cocoa everywhere. After which the edges were sponged with more Close To Cocoa and paper pierced. The main image, a butterfly from Merci, was stamped twice, once on a background piece of Naturals White and a second time on More Mustard which was cut out and mounted on the first piece. A bit of glitter was added to the winges. To accent the card a couple of little flowers from the Felt Fusion set were added as well as some River Rock double-stitched ribbon.
