TSG Sneak Peeks Day 3: Dadisms

Hello crafty friends! Welcome to day three of TSG Sneak Peeks!

Today I am sharing a card I made with the fun new Father's Day set from There She Goes Clear Stamps called Dadisms. As usual we are doing the peeks via a Blog Hop... and I am the first stop! :)

I kept my card simple today - I didn't even use ribbon! I created a little wall scene complete with floral wall paper, cocoa trim and red curtains. For the background I stamped the word block image in Versamark on Spring Moss cardstock. Along the bottom edge I stamped a sentiment in Memento Tuxedo Black. I layered the each piece on Chocolate Chip cardstock and then added a bit of stitching to the edges.

And remember how much I like Crystal Effects? Well... I added a coating of it to the part of the window peeking through the curtains. Shiny!

A very simple layout but I think it turned out nice and I could probably even send this card to a guy... although he might object to the pink floral wallpaper. :)

Dadisms is a 6x8 stamp set that includes a total of 31 stamps and will sell for $24.

Would you like a chance to win the Dadisms stamp set? Here’s what you need to do- go to each of the Trendsetter’s Blogs and leave a comment on their Dadisms Blog Hop Challenge post. After you have finished checking out the eye candy and have left some love, return to the TSG Blog and add your name to the Mr. Linky at the bottom of this Blog Hop Challenge post. A winner will be chosen randomly using a random number generator to receive their very own Dadisms stamp set. The winner will be announced Saturday (May 29th) during the Release Party Chat.

TSG Sneak Peeks Day 2: By The Sea

Welcome to day two of sneak peeks for the new TSG release! We are showing cards made with a a beautiful ocean/beach themed set that was illustrated by talented Chris Dark. Today the hop started at Chris's blog and hopefully you came here from there since I am the second stop! :)

The images in this set are just beautiful! I very much enjoyed using them to make this sweet beach scene. Now if only the view from my house was of this instead of my neighbors' yards and blacktop. Hmmm... wonder if anyone would notice me digging a big ol' hole out there? Hee hee. :)

Some details: I stamped the images in Memento Tuxedo Black, airbrushed the sky using Copic markers and colored the sand directly with a couple of brown Copic makers. For the water I first watercolored with Bashful Blue reinker and then overlayed with a bit of Shimmerz Blingz paint in blue. I also added a touch of the Angel Dust Shimmerz to the sand and the clouds for additional shimmer.

By The Sea is a 6x8 stamp set that includes a total of 37 stamps and will sell for $24.

Would you like a chance to win the By The Sea stamp set? Here’s what you need to do- go to each of the Trendsetter’s Blogs and leave a comment on their By The Sea Blog Hop Challenge post. After you have finished checking out the eye candy and have left some love, return to the TSG Blog and add your name to the Mr. Linky at the bottom of this Blog Hop Challenge post. A winner will be chosen randomly using a random number generator to receive their very own By The Sea stamp set. The winner will be announced Saturday (May 29th) during the Release Party Chat.

Finally the next stop in the hop is the uber talented Donna. Can't wait to see what she has made! :)

TSG Sneak Peeks Day 1: A Woman's Place

Hi all! I can't believe it is that time of the month again! No, not to pay bills... but to share some fun sneak peeks of soon to be released stamp sets from TSG. :)

Today the Trendsetters are sharing cards made with the set A Woman's Place. The blog hop started... oh yay... at my blog!

A Woman’s Place is a 4x8 stamp set that includes a total of 34 stamps and will sell for $18.

Would you like a chance to win the A Woman's Place stamp set? Here’s what you need to do- go to each of the Trendsetter’s Blogs and leave a comment on their A Woman’s Place Blog Hop Challenge post. After you have finished checking out the eye candy and have left some love, return to the TSG Blog and add your name to the Mr. Linky at the bottom of this Blog Hop Challenge post. A winner will be chosen randomly using a random number generator to receive their very own A Woman’s Place stamp set. The winner will be announced Saturday (May 29th) during the Release Party Chat.

For my card I used the cute stove image with an overflowing pot of something... most likely burnt. ;) I stuck with a fun retro color scheme of avocado and orange. Even though I am in love with everything green and/or orange lately I would NOT buy a green stove... but I will color this little one green.

I accented the card with a piece of black wool felt that I die cut with a Tim Holt's On the Edge die (by Sizzix), some delicious My Mind's eye designer paper and lots of pretty orange ribbon from PTI.

Fun... now if only these colors matched my kitchen even a little bit! Alas, I'll have to find a different home for this card.
Ready for another sneak peek? Then hop on over to Donna's little place on the internet (aka, her blog)! :) Happy blog hopping everyone!
Recipe:
Stamps: A Woman's Place (There She Goes Clear Stamps). Paper: orange, black (SU!), white (PTI) designer (My Mind's Eye). Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Copic markers. Other: white thread and sewing machine, Tim Holtz On The Edge scalloped die, black felt (PTI), satin and saddle stitch Tangerine Tango ribbon (PTI), dimensionals, black brads (SU!).

Silly Squirrel Says Happy Birthday!!!

Somebody is a year older today... a whole year! ;) Yes, Oh Fearless TSG Leader Jessica has added another tick to her year-o-meter! LOL! Happy Birthday Jessica, hope it is fabulous and the cake is yummy!

To celebrate the trendsetters are blog hopping and sharing some birthday goodness. If you came here from Jodi's blog you are in the right place. If not head over to Chris's place and start from the beginning. :)

I made a card using the silly squirrel from Spring Fever. It may not be apparent in the picture of the card but he is seriously contemplating swiping a bit of birthday cake (or the whole cake) for himself. See... he is rubbing his little paws together in anticipation... ;)

Hee hee... cake... mmmm. The next stop on the hop is Sandra! And don't forget to follow the hop all the way to the end to wish Jessica a big happy birthday! ;)

Again... Happy Birthday Jessica! :)

Blue Buttercups for You!

Hello crafty friends!

I've been stamping away the last couple of days and much of it I cannot share yet. Hee hee... I'm such a tease. However I do have this sweet card to show you! It uses the oh so pretty What's Up Buttercup? set by There She Goes.

I stamped the single butter cup image in Memento Rich Cocoa ink on PTI white cardstock twice, colored with Copic markers and cut out. I stamped the definition sentiment in Rick Cocoa on Spring Moss cardstock and sponged the edges with Tumbled Glass Distress Ink. I added a tiny little Swarovski 3mm Hotfix crystal next to the "but-ter-cup" word.

I picked up a couple of new tools while my mom was visiting over Mother's Day weekend: jumbo scalloped square nesties and the Tim Holtz Swirl embossing folder. I used both on a piece of Aqua Mist cardstock and finished up by sponging the edges with more Tumbled Glass Distress Ink. Fun! Love new tools! :)

Next I cut a couple of Chocolate Chip layers and paper pierced the edges of the smaller square and added a few more Swarovski crystals - 4mm ones this time. On the second piece of chocolate chip I added a slightly smaller piece of designer paper (Woodhaven by Colorbok). I sponged the edges again with more Tumbled Glass.

Finally to finish I needed some pretty matching ribbon. I didn't have quite the color I wanted so I dyed some white silk ribbon from May Arts with a BG72 Copic Various Ink refill. A little tape, a few dimensionals and a Natural White 5" x 5" cardbase and I was done! Purty!

Recipe:
Stamps: What's Up Buttercup? (There She Goes Clear Stamps). Paper: Woodhave desinger (Colorbok), Spring Moss, Aqua Mist and white (PTI), Chocolate Chip and Naturals White (SU!). Ink: Memento Rich Cocoa, Tumbled Glass Distress Ink (Ranger), Copic markers. Other: mat pack, paper piercer, Jumbo Scalloped Square Nesties (Spellbinders), Swarovski crystals, Tim Holtz Swirls embossing folders (Sizzix), dimensionals.

Look Into My Eyes...

Happy Saturday everyone! Hopefully the weather is as beautiful where you are at as it is here! To make things even better I am not working this weekend. :) Instead I'll be digging holes in my yard (new trees), watching the big screen (Iron Man 2) and crafting (hello stamps!). Speaking of stamps I found a bit of time this morning to make a card using the You're So Punny stamp set from There She Goes Clear Stamps.

I paired the squirrel image from the set with a couple of colors that I am in love with lately: bright lime-y green and deep orange. Weird... but true!

Fun right? And those bright green eyes are a bit hypnotic. "Look into my eyes. You are getting sleepy, very sleepy. You are feeling generous, very generous. You will give me all of your birthday gifts. Yes. Yes. All of them! And... wakeup!". Hee hee.

Here is a pic of the inside of the card that continues the sentiment "Aww... Nuts. I forgot your birthday." I'll probably be using this card soon. I am very prone to forgetting dates. Oops.

Have a great weekend all! I should be back soon with another card. :)

Recipe:
Stamps: You're So Punny (There She Goes Clear Stamps). Paper: Tangerine Tango, Chocolate Chip (SU!), white and Spring Moss (PTI), Fly A Kite designer (October Afternoon). Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Antique Linen Distress Ink (Ranger), Copic markers. Other: Terracotta Tile Saddle Stitched ribbon (PTI), 1 1/8" circle punch and Postage Stamp edger punch (EK Success),

Mother of All Blog Hops: Bubble Bubble (Fish speak for Happy Mother's Day!)

Welcome to the There She Goes Mother of All Blog Hops! Woo hoo! If you have arrived here from Silke Ledlow 's blog, then you are in the right spot. If not, I recommend that you start back on the There She Goes company blog to get the introduction to our hop as well as the details you will need in order to enter to win some amazing prizes!

For my card I decided to showcase the mini set Best Fishes. The fishes are just so much fun to color (and then cover in a bit of Crystal Effects... hee hee).

The designer paper is by My Mind's Eye from the Quite Contray line. Love it and had to buy more yesterday while shopping with my mom... a lot of it. ;) I covered the fish's tail and fins with Crackle Accents and once that was dried and cracked I coated the rest of the fish with regular Crystal Effects. For the background I stamped several other images (coral, seaweed) in Memento Rich Cocoa on Kraft cardstock and then colored with Copics. Added some stitching and sponged a bit of Ranger Distress ink on the edges to finish.

A bit of designer paper, ribbon and paper punching finished the card. Oh happy fish! :)

Now it's time to send you on to the next stop in the hop: Sandra MacLean's blog! Have fun viewing the rest of the eye candy! :)

A Dash of Purple Fairy Dust!

Hello!

I found a bit of time to stamp on Sunday and made a card for Pam's colorful TSG challenge. I don't think I would have ever paired these colors together... nope... definitely wouldn't! However I do like how my card turned out and I'm sure the rest of the Trendsetters playing along have created some fab-u-lous cards (and I'm betting you will too)! For all the deets on the challenge and links to those playing along visit the TSG blog!

But before heading over there check out my card. Please... pretty please? I'd love to know what you think. I did try a couple of new things while making this card. I created hills of grass by snipping Kiwi Kiss cardstock with my paper snips.

And I also added a fun ribbon treatment by only creating a couple of big pleats on the left side of the card. I really like how this turned out! Then to finish I plopped a big pink crocheted flower with a button center on the lower left. I really need to make more of these flowers... my stash is running low!

So what do you think? Are you inspired? Will you be playing along with the challenge? I think you want to. I really do! ;)

Recipe:
Stamps: Fairy Good Day (TSG Clear Stamps). Paper: Orchid Opulence, Regal Rose, Kiwi Kiss (SU!), white (PTI), Kioshi designer (Basic Grey). Ink: Tumbled Glass, Antique Linen and Peeled Paint Distress Inks (Ranger), Copic markers, Clear and Lavendar Spica pens, Memento Tuxedo Black. Other: crocheted flower, button (PTI), jute (May Arts), Kiwi Kiss striped grosgrain(SU!), dimensionals, mat pack, paper piercer, Large Circle and Large Petite Scalloped Circle Nestabilities (Spellbinders), edge distressor tool, brads (Recollections).
