TE Sneak Peeks: Welcome Little One

Hello Everyone!  Today is quite exciting as it is Day One of sneak peeks for Taylored Expressions.  We have a lot of fun baby-themed sets and accessories to share with you this release. :)  Today we are showcasing Welcome Little One stamp set, Invitation A la Carte, Announcement A la Carte, Heart Frame A la Carte, Frame it Up 2 die and Bracket Die!  Whew – lots of fun stuff!

MondayMay2nd

For my card today I used Welcome Little One and the Invitation A la Carte to create a baby shower invitation.  Welcome Little One is a sweet set illustrated by Taylor for the TE collection.  This set is perfect for all of your baby announcement / invitation needs (especially when paired with the A la Cartes) and is also perfect for sweet and simple baby cards or thank you notes.  This set is also our latest addition to the Giving Tree line.

For the months of May, June and July when you purchase this set you'll be helping to support Bethany Christian Services, the nation's largest adoption agency. BCS also cares for women facing unplanned pregnancies as well as orphans living on 5 continents. Their comprehensive services include adoption, temporary foster care, counseling, training, and family support knowing that children thrive in safe, loving, and strong families. Taylored Expressions will donate $7.00 to Bethany Christian Services for each Welcome Little One  stamp set sold in the next 3 months.

Ready for some pretty pictures?  First up is a shot of the completed invitation.  I created a Criss Cross card and used the pocket to hold the invitation card.  I used the frame image, the little baby buggy and “A Baby Shower” sentiment from the stamp set and paired them with some delightful designer paper from the Happily Lost line by Lily Bee.

I stamped the little buggy on Choice Snow White cardstock and colored with Copic markers and Copic Spica pens.  After trimming I added Glossy Accents.  Next I stamped the frame from the set and trimmed (I completely spaced and didn’t realize that we have an awesome new die that I could have used to die cut the image).  I added Rouge Liquid Pearls for a bit of extra oomph! ;)  A sentiment stamped on light pink card stock, some ribbon (that I somehow managed to actually tie into a bow) and a Little Whimsies – Lotus flower finished the front of the card.

For the invitation I stamped the Invitation A la Carte on Choice Snow White cardstock.  I accented it by stamping another image from the Welcome Little One set in light pink ink.  I then finished by matting on red cardstock, sewing the edges, adding a button and ribbon and then matting again (this time on pink).

So what do you think?  Isn’t this set the cutest?!  I will admit though that I didn’t exactly create an easy to reproduce invite… heh heh heh… this would have to be for a super special invitee! ;)
