MFT Teaser Time Day 3: Clearly Sentimental about Grandparents

Hello Crafty Friends!

Today is the third day of teasers for My Favorite Things. Make sure to head over to Kim’s blog for a full list of designers participating in the teasers today.

For my card today I used the Clearly Sentimental about Grandparents stamp set and some pretty new Layered Rose Die-namics.

I used the three smallest rose dies, some sour apple buttons and jute to make the layered flowers.  The sentiment was stamped in red ink on Sweet Tooth cardstock and then die cut.  The edges were sponged with a bit of Antique Linen Distress ink to match the rest of the card and then I added some dots of Liquid Pearls.  To finish, before adhering layers together I attached pink pom pom trim to the panel and a small length of red polka dot ribbon to the card base.  The flowers were adhered using small foam dimensionals and for a final touch a few pink rhinestones were placed here and there.

Final result is one extra pink card perfect for a new grandma – and I know just the grandma to send it to.  My little nephew Noah made an early appearance two weeks ago and I’m sure his grandma would love this card in celebration. :)

And check back tomorrow for another teaser.
