SCRSC76: Sunshine and Rain

Hello everyone! I’m back with another Sparkle Creations Rubber Stamp project today! This time we have a bright and fun inspiration photo!

scrsc76

Here is a bigger version of the inspiration photo… hmm… I’d like to be there!

SCRS76A_inspiration

I loved the colors in this photo and decided to use them for my card: blue, orange and yellow.  I decided that it would be fun to use Rainy Day Ruby for this card… rain is kind of the opposite of this picture but that is how I like to roll! Heh heh. ;)

OrangeAndBlue_InTheRain_DanielleLounds

I stamped Rainy Day Rub in Memento Tuxedo Black on Choice Snow White cardstock and colored with Copic markers.  I cut her out and adhered her to the card with foam dimensional tape.  The rest of the layout is very simple… almost CAS (clean and simple).  Shocking.  Muhahahaha!

Kindness

Hello everyone!  I told myself a couple of months ago that I needed to cut back on how much designer paper I buy.  After all, there is only so much that you can use. ;)  Well, I cracked and I’ve been buying oodles of it again… including the pretty Nature Garden designer paper from Prima that I used on this card.

PeachBlossoms_ShabbyStyle

This paper just screams “shabby vintage” to me so I did a lot of distressing using both Distress Inks and an edge distressing tool.  I finished the look with stitching, some yummy vintage seam bind and a couple of stick pins.  Purty!

PeachBlossoms_ShabbyStyle_ImageCloseup

Oh, and I added some dots of Liquid Pearls in the top right and bottom left corners.

RCC45: Baking with the Twinery

Hey peeps!  I’m popping in with a card for this week’s Ribbon Carousel Challenge.  The challenge, should you choose to accept it, is to use twine!  Easy peasy, right?

With that, we are honored to be sponsored by The Twinery this week!  Head over to the Ribbon Carousel Challenge blog for all the details on how to participate and when a prize! :)

MakeAWishFairy_Twinery_DanielleLounds

For my card I paired a cute little fairy (from Karber Fairy set) with Lemondrop Baker’s Twine.  I went for super bright and cheery when making this card and Konnichiwa designer paper seems to just define that for me! ;)

MakeAWishFairy_Twinery_ImageCloseup_DanielleLounds

I stamped the fairy three times on Choice Snow White cardstock and colored and cut out portions of the image which I layered together using foam dimensionals.

Candy-eggs and Jelly-beans!

Hey peeps – I’m back today with an Easter card I made using the Buckets of Love stamp set from There She Goes.

BasketOfEggs_DLounds

I kept the layout of this one simple and focused on coloring the bucket full of colorful eggs.  Do you dye eggs for Easter?  I haven’t done that in years… mostly because I’m not a fan of eggs. ;)

Anyways, the eggs were colored with Copic markers and Spica pens before being coated with a layer of Glossy Accents.  I used some rhinestone bling and crocheted lace for accents.

Pamper Yourself!

Hello everyone!  I hope you are having a fabulous weekend and a great St. Patrick’s Day!  I’ve been spending the day relaxing and doing a bit of crafting.

I also thought it was the perfect time to share this card that I made a several weeks ago:

PamperYouself_PinkTub_DanielleLounds

I used Relaxing Charlotte from Sparkle Creations Rubber Stamps and some delicious Echo Park designer paper.  I stamped the image in Memento Tuxedo Black and colored with Copic Markers.  I added a touch of Glossy Accents and Crystal Fine glitter to the bubbles.  And yes, the tub had to be pink.  I don’t think I’ll ever own a pink tub myself but it seemed the perfect color for this girlie card! :)

Before I head back to the craft room, I thought I would let you know about a couple of sales taking place this weekend!

SCRS75: Pretty in Pink Sketchy Card

*** Scroll down to the next post to see my Ribbon Carousel project for today. ***

Hello everyone!  I’m back with another Sparkle Creations Rubber Stamp project today!  This time it is for this week’s challenge, a sketch challenge!

scrsc75

I used the sketch to make this card featuring Charlotte with a Rose:

SCRS75_CharlotteWithRose_DanielleLounds

This is such a pretty image that I had to go for a soft look when coloring her.  I did use some bright new designer paper from Basic Grey (konnichiwa) to liven up the card a bit.  And well… you might notice but I’m missing the very top-right panel from the sketch.  Things weren’t working for me so I improvised. ;)

Sparkle Creations Release Day: Mr. & Mrs.

Woo Hoo!  So today is the day that all of the new Sparkle Creations rubber stamps are available for purchase!  But before you head over there to do some shopping, check out my sample for today using the new Mr. & Mrs. stamp.

MrAndMrs_YellowOrange_DanielleLounds

For my card I used all of the same papers and cardstock that I used for my card on Thursday featuring Engaged Lucy.  I just used a different layout and embellishments.  Why?  I just loved how the color scheme turned out on the first one! :)

I stamped the cute couple in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Choice Snow White cardstock and colored with Copic markers.  I added a touch of Crystal Stickles to her veil – I just dabbed a bit onto the image and used my finger to spread the glitter around to create a thin layer of shimmer.  Once dry, I cut the image out using a Jumbo Scalloped Circle Nestabilities die.  I then sponged the edges with Antique Linen distress ink and added some little holes using a paper piercer.

MrAndMrs_YellowOrange_ImageCloseup_DanielleLounds

To embellish the card I added some Champagne vintage seam binding that I tied around the main layer in a bow.  I added a teal stick pin to the knot (tucking the pointy end under the main image – so no pokey pokey).  I also added some white pom-pom trim that I adhered in place using Best Glue Ever (seriously, that is the name of the glue).

Sparkle Creations Release Preview: Karber Strawberry

Hello Crafty Friends!

Welcome to the second day of previews for Sparkle Creations!  Today we are debuting the delightfully cute new Karber Strawberry set.  This one is so very SWEET!  Love it! :)

KarberStrawberry_SingleTag_DanielleLounds

I colored the Karber image using Copic markers and cut out with my scissors.  I added dots to her cheeks with a white gel pen and colored the seeds with a green Copic Spica pen.  To the center of the pinwheel I added Glossy Accents and crystal glitter. :)

And one tag is never enough and since these were so much fun I just had to make three more.

Sparkle Creations Release Preview: Engaged Lucy

Hello everyone!

Today is the first day of previews for Sparkle Creations Rubber Stamps and we have some sweet sets to share!  First up is the new Engaged Lucy stamp.

AnEngagment_DanielleLounds

I stamped Lucy in Memento Tuxedo Black on choice Snow White cardstock and colored with Copic markers.  I added a touch of sparkle in various placed using Spica glitter pens.  I used a Labels Nestabilities die to cut the image out and then added dots of Bisque Liquid Pearls along the edges.

AnEngagment_ImageCloseup_DanielleLounds

Because Lucy and her glittery diamond ring are the focus on this card I kept the layering to a minimum and just used some pretty silk ribbon, jute and an extra big teal button (keeping with the big ring bling theme) to accent the card.

RCC43: Cause we FELT like it

Hello!  I’m back and I’m sharing another Ribbon Carousel Challenge.  This week we are all about warm and fuzzy… felt, that is!  We are challenging you to use some felt on your project. :)

We are excited to announce that our sponsor this week is Stephanie Hedderick from Whimsical Designs.

So head over to the challenge blog for all of the details on this week’s challenge and the fabulous prize that you could win.  But first, hang around for a few and check out my card.

RCCFeltChallenge_DanielleLounds

My theme for this card is “pretty soft”.  The stick pins fit into the theme because they are pretty… definitely not because they are soft (pokey pokey).  Heh heh.

RCCFeltChallenge_BowCloseup_DanielleLounds

I used a bunch of new supplies: Polka Dot Greetings Stamp/Die set and Royal Rose die from MFT, Be Happy designer paper from My Mind’s Eye, Peach Fizz vintage seam binding from the Ribbon Carousel and Dolled Up Pins & Buttons which are also from My Mind’s Eye.  Sigh.  It is amazing what a few new pretties will do for your creativity. :)
