Flower Stand

Hello!  I’ve been on a real crafty kick this week which means I can share plenty of pretty things with you. *Smile*

This card features the fabulous Flower Stand stamp from Whipper Snapper Designs.  I’ve had this image for a while so it was nice to finally use it.

OrganicFlowerStand_Pinks_DanielleLounds

I stamped the image in Memento Tuxedo Black on Choice Snow white cardstock and colored with Copic markers and copic Spica pens.  I added Glossy Accents and some fine crystal glitter to some of the flower centers.  A few dots of Liquid Pearls, a button, jute and striped ribbon were used to accent the main image. :)

For my card I used Cherry Blossom Rin and paired her with some of my favorite Basic Grey Konnichiwa designer paper.  I have to admit that in the past I was not the biggest fan of their paper… but I LOVE the new lines that they have been producing. :)

I stamped Rin in Memento Tuxedo Black on Choice Snow White cardstock and colored with Copic markers.  I used the Melon Spica pen on her hair sticks for a bit of added sparkle.

In the upper right corner of the main panel I punched two tiny holes close to each other and through them tied a bow using Maraschino Baker’s Twine.  I then adhered a Prima paper flower over the knot using a couple of foam dimensionals.  For a final touch and to balance the red elements I added tiny red rhinestones in a few places.

I’m a huge fan of TSG (and was even on the design team for a while) so I just had to play along.  I also had a new stamp that was just dying for some ink.  Gotta love when it works out that way. ;)

RCC_BirthdayBot_DanielleLounds

I stamped Birthdaybot in Memento Tuxedo Black on Choice Snow White cardstock three times: there is the bottom layer which was die cut using a Circle Nestabilities die, the second layer that consists of his arm and the gift and the third layer which is just his arm.  All layers were colored with Copic markers and adhered together using foam dimensionals.  Other notes: I used a Silver Spica pen to hi-light portions of the image and I added Glossy Accents to his visor.

All of the designer papers used on the base panel are from the Follow Your Heart – Be Amazing 6x6 designer pad from My Mind’s Eye. I tacked all of the pieces to a panel of Taken with Teal cardstock and then stitched in place using my sewing machine.  I added a sentiment flag cut from So Saffron cardstock and finished embellishing the card with a wood button, some jute and a few orange rhinestones.

MFTWSC68: Happy Bird-day!

I’ve been on a crafty kick this weekend and made another card featuring a Pure Innocence image from My Favorite Things.  This time I used You’re So Tweet and paired it with some delicious Be Happy designer paper from My Mind’s Eye.

MFTWSC68_HappyBirdday_DanielleLounds

I’ve been on a sketch challenge kick so I used this week’s My Favorite Things sketch: MFTWSC68.  Love this layout… although I did tweak it just a tiny bit.

MFTWSC68

As usual, I stamped the image in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Choice Snow White cardstock.  I stamped the image a second time on another piece of cardstock and yet a third time on a bit of designer paper so I could paper piece her dress.  I colored the rest of the image with Copic markers before cutting out and adhering over the first image using foam dimensionals.  I added sponging with Scattered Straw Distress ink to the main panel.  I layered each panel on Soft Sky cardstock and added stitching (after rounding a corner here and there).

Couple final notes on the main image – I used a Pink Spica pen on her barrette and the little heart.  I also added some freckles using a white gel pen.

For embellishment I used a couple of MFT dies.  The first is the Framed Greetings die which I used to add a sentiment tab.  I then used the Prima Donna Petals die set to create a flower from designer paper and Bubblegum felt.  For the flower center I used Sparklet Rhinestone.  Behind the flower I tied some Brown Sugar divine twine into a bow. To finish I added a few clear rhinestones here and there. :)
