TSG Treats for You!

Hello Crafty Friends!

I have a fun post to share with you today!  The Trendsetter’s are celebrating There She Goes birthday by sharing a bunch of cute projects featuring treat packaging! :)

CelebrateWithTreats_ForTSG_DanielleLounds

I’m just getting started on Halloween projects so I thought it would be fun to create a little treat bucket full of Halloween candy!  The box design is one I created and then cut out using a Silhouette Cameo (my first project with it!).  I’ll be back later with a link to the cut file for those who would like to make one of these boxes. ;)

*EDITED TO ADD: For all of you who would like the Silhouette file I have uploaded it to Drop Box.  Just click on THIS LINK to download the studio file. Have fun and please leave me a comment if you use the file.  I would LOVE to see your creations!  Oh, just one little request – please only use the file for personal use.

CelebrateWithTreats_ForTSG_Closeup_DanielleLounds

To decorate the box I used On the Vine and the sentiment is from Buckets of Love.  The designer paper is from My Mind’s Eye and I used a bit of black mesh ribbon that I picked up from The Ribbon Carousel store.

You might be wondering why you can’t see the stitching on the back of the panels.  Well, I don’t like when it shows so I cut an extra front and back from Kraft and after decorating the panels and stitching I adhered the second set over the backs to cover the stitching. LOL.

I cut a strip of black cardstock 11” long and 3/4” wide and attached to the box with jumbo eyelets to create a handle.

Thanks for stopping by today and checking out my little treat bag!  Let me know what you think.

Make sure to head over to the TSG Blog for a full list of Trendsetters with treat-errific posts today!

Ribbon Carousel & Helmar Blog Hop

Hello Crafty Friends -

Hop along with us today and leave some blog love for our Ribbon Carousel Crewmates and the Helmar designers to be eligible to win one of the 2 prizes up for grabs!

The Helmar prize is a complete pack of Zapdots (12 packs) including clear, black and white in circles and squares, in both the large and small sizes!  The other prize up for grabs is a $20 gift certificate to the Ribbon Carousel Store!

AlteredWoodGiftBagBox_Acorn_DanielleLounds

I was sent a bottle of Helmar 450 Quick Drying Adhesive to try out on my project.  I was intrigued when I read this in the description: “is a high performance premium glue that sets quickly, dries crystal clear & is machine washable. Bonds to almost all types of Fabrics, ribbons, plastic, leather balsa and other soft woods, paper, cane, most hand craft materials and more!”  How interesting.  I decided to give the glue a whirl on adhering felt flowers to an altered gift box.  Guess what?  It works wonderfully – those flowers aren’t going anywhere… unless it is with the rest of the box. :)

AlteredWoodGiftBagBox_Acorn_Closeup_DanielleLounds

Some details: I started with a wood gift bag box I picked up from one of the big craft stores and covered the outside with Sugar Hill designer paper from Farm House Paper Company.  Next I stamped an acorn blueprint image on Butter Mint cardstock and sponged a bit of color here and there using sponge daubers and Distress Ink pads.  I then roughed the edges up, matted on Candy Bar cardstock and stitched the edges.

I created the flowers from wool blend felt using a couple of dies from My Favorite Things.  I used a few pearls, a stick pin and some green burlap ribbon and jute to embellish the main image.  I thought it could use a bit more sparkle so I smeared some Diamond Stickles here and there on the acorn and to the petals of the orange felt flower.  I finished the box with a sentiment tag.

And for the final final step I filled the box with some Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups and Rolo candies.  That is the really import step… you cannot forgot it!  Lol.

TSG174: Trick or Treat

Hello Crafty Friends -

I’m popping in with another TSG creation.  This time I am playing along with this week’s There She Goes challenge, which is brought to us by Jessie! She is challenging us to use the sketch provided!

TSG174

To be eligible for the giveaway, create a card or project using the sketch, and then head over to the TSG Blog to add your name and a link to your project in the InLinkz that is located at the bottom of this challenge post. This challenge is open until the winner has been announced on the following Monday (October 1st). The winner will get a $15 gift certificate to use in the TSG Web store!

TSGSketchChallenge_Reaper_DanielleLounds

For my card I used the Hauntingly Delightful stamp set and created a little night scene. Mr. Grim Reaper and his Skullies are out scaring up some Halloween treats.  I sponged the background using a Clouds Border die cut out as a template and Chipped Sapphire Distress Ink.  I wanted it to appear as if it were a cloudy night and since there is a bit of *magic* in the air I used purple rhinestones as the twinkling stars in the sky.

You might be seeing quite a few Halloween projects on my blog in the weeks to follow.  I need to use some of the new Halloween paper I ordered… I just can’t resist Halloween images. ;)

Summer 2012 Tags: Blog Candy Time!

Hey Crafty Friends!

It is finally that time.  I have finished the sixth and final tag in the Summer 2012 Tags series.  That took long enough! ;)  What does this mean?  That soon (Friday evening) I will be picking a winner who will receive a pile of ribbon and one each of the six different tags.  So be sure to leave a comment on this post and/or on the prior tag posts.  I’ll be choosing a random winner from the comments.

But before you rush off to leave a comment check out the final tag.  Please?! :)

Summer2012Tags_IceCream_4Pack_DanielleLounds

For this very pink set of tags I used the Enjoy Life stamp set and dies from There She Goes.  The ice cream cone and scoop of ice cream where die cut from white cardstock and then coordinating images were stamped.  The sentiment (also from the Enjoy Life stamp set) was stamped in Rich Cocoa ink on a light pink cardstock.

Summer2012Tags_IceCream_Single_DanielleLounds

I thought the treat would look a bit tastier with sprinkles so I added a few pink rhinestones to the ice cream.  I did quite a bit of layering on this tag and added some dots of Liquid Pearls, a bit of sewing and some of my favorite ruffled gingham ribbon.

Summer2012Tags_IceCream_Closeup_DanielleLounds

Much adhesive foam was sacrificed in the making of these tags. ;)  You can see the dimension below.

So what do you think of these pink treats?  Delicious?  Do you want some Neapolitan ice cream now?  I do!  Before you head for the freezer read on for details on the blog candy!  I really do appreciate all of my blog readers so this is my little way of saying thanks for stopping by. :)

There She Goes (Again!) - Wrapped in Joy

Hello Crafty Friends -

All week long There She Goes has been featuring three great older stamp sets on the TSG Blog and today the Trendsetter’s are creating some new eye candy using the sets!  Be sure to head over to the TSG Blog to see all of the fabulous samples.

This month we have a Birthday theme going on (because we're turning 4!) and here are the sets we're featuring: MAKE A WISH $24, WRAPPED IN JOY $15, and CUPCAKE MIX AND MATCH $15.

WrappedInJoy_Birthday_DanielleLounds

For my sample I used Wrapped in Joy to make a birthday card (surprise, surprise!).  I stamped one of the little girls in black and colored with Copic markers before cutting out.  I stamped the “Wish BIG!” sentiment in black on Kraft cardstock.  After rounding the corners I added faux stitching around the edges using a white gel pen.  A strip of designer paper was adhered across the bottom and then the panel was layered on Rock Candy cardstock.  I added a length of red grosgrain ribbon and a few pink rhinestones.

For the bottom panel I layered more of the designer paper on Rock Candy cardstock and sewed along the outside edges.  To finish I attached the panels together with foam tape and then attached a button around all of the layers using Natural Jute.  Attached it all to a Kraft card base and I was done.

Now that you are done looking at my card scoot on over to the TSG Blog to see more samples. :)

TSG173 Everyone Likes Presents

Hello everyone!

This week the There She Goes challenge is brought to you by the Trendsetters! We are challenging YOU to make a card or project with a “presents/gift giving” theme. That can be tags, bags, cards, whatever you like!  For all the details of the challenge head over to the TSG Blog.

For my project I decided to go with an oldie but goodie project: the Triangle Treat BoxSplitCoastStampers has a fabulous tutorial on making these boxes, which you can find HERE.

TSG173Presents_TriangleBox_DanielleLounds

I made the base out of Taffy cardstock and decorated with My Mind’s Eye designer paper from the My Favorite Things Six by Six paper pad.

For the main image and sentiment I used the Cutie Pi stamp set.  The darling chemist was stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Copic markers before being cut out.  I used a couple of Spica pens to add sparkle to her hair bands and the explosive potion in the test tube.  I also added Glossy Accents to her goggles and the test tube.

TSG173Presents_TriangleBox_Closeup_DanielleLounds

To keep the box closed I used a bit of pink polka dot organdy ribbon, which I looped through the holes punched in the sides before tying into a bow.  Easy peasy little box to make… and it is the perfect size to hold a bunch of chocolates.  In this case Raspberry Dark Chocolate and Carmel Dark chocolate Bliss candies.  Yummy!

Summer 2012 Tags: Shimmery Sweetness

Hey Crafty Friends -

Been a while but I’m back with another addition to the Summer 2012 Tags.  For these little sweet ones I used wood tags and Distress Stains to create a whole lot of shimmery goodness.

Summer2012Tags_EnjoyLifeCupcakes_Multi_DanielleLounds

To make these little tags (they are only about 3” tall and 1.5” wide) I started with some wood tags I purchased.  First I applied Tumbled Glass Distress Stain and then let dry (I uses a heat gun to speed up the drying process).  Next I applied a second coat using Brushed Pewter Distress Stain.  Once dry I stamped a sentiment from the Make a Wish stamp set in Versamark and heat set using Winter White embossing powder.  I repeated this until the front of the tag was completely covered.

Here is a picture of the tags before and after staining:

Summer2012Tags_EnjoyLifeCupcakes_Closeup_DanielleLounds

To decorate the tags I stamped a little cupcake from the same stamp set in black and colored with Copic markers.  After cutting out I added some Glossy Accents and glitter to the heart on top.  A little strip of designer paper and a touch of fuzzy ribbon completed the look.

Summer2012Tags_EnjoyLifeCupcakes_Single_DanielleLounds

Here is a side shot so you can see the dimensions of the accents.  Love that fuzzy ribbon!

Summer2012Tags_EnjoyLifeCupcakes_Sideview_DanielleLounds

Now that you have checked out today’s tag be sure to read on about the blog candy. I really do appreciate the people that stop by my blog so this is my way of saying thanks! :)

RCC70: With Sympathy

Hello Crafty Friends -

It’s Tuesday and it is time for another Ribbon Carousel Challenge! :)

RCC70Badge

This week our fabulous Crewmate Andrea Ewen is our hostess with the mostess and she is challenging us to make a sympathy card. Head over to the Ribbon Carousel Blog to check out what the Ribbon Carousel Crewmates have done for this week's challenge and for all of the details on how you can participate and perhaps be chosen as a Top Spool!

RCC70_Sympathy_DanielleLounds

For my card I used the Embrace Beauty stamp set from Taylored Expressions and created a rather shabby chic creations.  There is a lot of detail on the main image.  First I stamped in VersaMark on watercolor paper and then heat embossed with Black Embossing Powder.  I colored the image with various Distress Markers and a watercolor brush.  Once dry I cut out image using a Circle Nestabilities Die and sponged the edges with Antique Linen Distress ink.  I then mounted on a scalloped circle cut out of Gold Coins cardstock and added dots of Peacock Liquid Pearls along the edge.

The rest of the card is pretty straight forward… lots of ribbons and some pretty designer paper that was stitched onto cardstock. ;)

RCC70_Sympathy_Closeup_DanielleLounds

That’s it for me.  Can’t wait to see the sympathy cards you make.

Recipe:
Stamps: Embrace Beauty (Taylored Expressions).

TSG172: Let there be cake!

Hello Crafty Friends -

I have a sweet card, for this week’s There She Goes challenge (TSG172), to share with you today.

The challenge is brought to us by our Trendsetter of the week, Jessica! She is challenging YOU to make a card or project using something sweet: candy, cookies, ice cream…CAKE! As a special treat, for our birthday celebration, the random winner of this challenge will receive a $15 gift certificate as a prize!  For all the details and links to more *sweet* projects, head over to the TSG Blog.

TSG172EatCat_Pie_DanielleLounds

For my card, I used the Daily Grind stamp set and Tangerine designer paper.  I stamped the image twice; one of which I cut out using a Circle die and the other that I colored and then cut out just the pie using scissors.  After layering on a scalloped circle (cut with another die) I added dots of Liquid Pearls along the outside edge.  The little yellow pearls above the image were actually white – I just colored them yellow using the Y35 Copic marker.  Finished the card with ribbon, twine and stitching!

TSG172EatCat_Pie_Closeup_DanielleLounds

So what is your favorite dessert?  I have a difficult time resisting a yummy fresh from the oven brownie.  Drool… ;)

SCRS Release Day: Soccer Josh

Hello everyone!

Today is release day at Sparkle Creations Rubber Stamps but first we have another stamp to show you! Yesterday we had Oliver hanging inside playing some videogames and today we have Josh taking to the green to play a little soccer!  So here is Soccer Josh:

SoccerJosh_ReleaseSample_DanielleLounds

I sponged a cloudy sky and add a grassy mound from designer paper for Josh to stand on.  Josh was stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink, colored and then cut out.  Sharp scissors can be really handy. ;)

SoccerJosh_ReleaseSample_closeup_DanielleLounds

Kept the embellishments simple on this one: twill tape, baker’s twine and a few Goosebump rhinestones.  The designer paper is a line released early in the year: A Boy’s Life by Echo Park.  Any questions, just let me know!

SCRS Preview: Videogame Oliver

Hello everyone!

Today is the first day of previews for Sparkle Creations Rubber Stamps and we are getting our game on with a couple of new stamps! First up is the new Videogame Oliver stamp (he will be available for purchase on Saturday).

VideoGamer_SCRSPreview_DanielleLounds

My card is pretty typical of my style… main image colored with Copic markers and then cut out.  Some stitching and fun designer paper as usual. ;)  I did try to keep it masculine but I had to add a few rhinestones to the upper left corner.  Thinking about it now I could have used some silver brads instead.  Hmmm… been a while since I used brads.

VideoGamer_SCRSPreview_Closeup_DanielleLounds

That is it for me!  Be sure to visit all rest of the SCRS designers for more peeks of Vidoegame Oliver. Sparkle will be giving away Videogame Oliver to one lucky person! Want a calendar to help you keep things straight? Well, here you go: Birthday Challenge Calendar.

TSGBannerChallenge_DanielleLounds

For my card I used the spunky Poultry in Motion stamp set to create a “bleat-ed” birthday card.  First off, I created the scenery – a green hill cut from designer paper and a cloudy sky created by sponging Tumbled Glass ink on Icy Mint cardstock using a Clouds Border die cut as a stencil.

TSGBannerChallenge_BannerCloseup_DanielleLounds

I used some pennant dies, letter stickers and some narrow dark brown striped ribbon to make the banner. I stitched the base pennants (cut from Kraft) to the ribbon and then added the top layer using foam dimensionals. Once complete the banner was adhered to the card using more dimensionals.

TSGBannerChallenge_SheepCloseup_DanielleLounds

I had oodles of fun making the little sheep.  I stamped each sheep twice and colored.  From the second image I cut just the head and adhered it to the first using foam dimensionals.  I thought they could use a bit more texture so I added Cotton-ball Fluff to their wooly heads.  Yes – so much fun!

Finally, here is a side shot so you can see all of the dimension on the banner and sheep.

TSGBannerChallenge_SideCloseup_DanielleLounds

That is it for me. Be sure to head over to the TSG Blog for more eye candy! And once you have made your card for today’s challenge head over there again to add it to the InLinkz! I can’t wait to see all of the banners. :D

SCRSC87: A Good Book

Hi Crafty Friends!

I’m popping in with a card for this week’s Sparkle Creations Rubber Stamps challenge. This week the challenge is to use only neutrals on your card.

scrsc87

For all of the details on the challenge head over to the Sparkle Creations Blog. You can find Sparkle Creations stamps online at the store HERE.

BookwormRuby_NeutralsChallenge_DanielleLounds

I must admit that this challenge made me pause for a few.  Only neutrals?  I thought this challenge was going to be difficult but once I picked out the designer paper and the main image (Bookworm Ruby) things progressed quickly.  Well… the coloring took a while, as did the cutting, but the rest was fast.  It really doesn’t take long to add rhinestones and a bit of ribbon. ;)

BookwormRuby_NeutralsChallenge_Closeup2_DanielleLounds

The sentiment, “good books build character”, comes with Bookworm Ruby.  I die cut a label using the Bracket Tab Die-namic and then stamped the saying in black ink.

BookwormRuby_NeutralsChallenge_Closeup_DanielleLounds

That’s it for me today – hope you enjoyed my neutral card.  Be sure to head over to the SCRS Blog for more samples from the talented design team.

Recipe:
Stamps: Bookworm Ruby (Sparkle Creations).
Paper: Kraft, Black (PTI), Choice Snow White (TE), Fresh designer (Authentique).
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Copic Markers, Silver and Clear Spica Pens (Copic).
Accessories: White Polka Dot Organdy ribbon and Twill (May Arts), rhinestones (SU!), Corner Chomper (We R Memory Keepers), foam dimensional tape (TE), Bracket Tab Die-namics (MFT).

Ready to get started? Today’s challenge is brought to us by Jessica! She has challenged us to make a card or project using numbers on it, with a birthday theme of COURSE! Remember to head over to the TSG blog and add your creation to the Inlinkz for TSGBC01!

Here are the rules: For the daily challenge prizes of $15, you can use stamps from any company you chose, but we would LOVE to see you using your There She Goes stamps!! However, to be eligible to win the Grand Prize of $75, all you entries much use There She Goes stamps only!

You will have until 8pmEST Friday, September 14th to finish this challenge, and the winner will be announced on Saturday, September 15th at 12amEST. That gives you over a week to get finished! If you happen to finish them all, and we hope that you do, you can add your name to the Inlinkz being posted on Saturday, September 8th to be entered to win the GRAND PRIZE!!!!

Want a calendar to help you keep things straight? Well, here you go: Birthday Challenge Calendar.

For my card I used Numbered Days to create my own designer kraft paper for the background behind the “Happy Birthday” sentiment, which is another stamp from the set.  The rest of the card is pretty simple.

I finished the stamping by stamping a little hat from the set.  It was colored with Copic markers and then cut out.

That is it for me. Be sure to head over to the TSG Blog for more eye candy!  And once you have made your card for today’s challenge head over there again to add it to the InLinkz! :D
