SCRS91: Sunny Wishes

Hi Crafty Friends!

I’m popping in with a card for this week’s Sparkle Creations Rubber Stamps challenge. ;)

SCRS91_Sunflowers_DanielleLounds

The challenge is to use the provided photo for inspiration:

scrs91

For all of the details on the challenge head over to the Sparkle Creations Blog. You can find Sparkle Creations stamps online at the store HERE.

I stamped Sunflower Charlotte in black and colored with Copic markers. I cut the image out with a Circle Nestabilities die and paper pierced the edges.

SCRS91_Sunflowers_Closeup_DanielleLounds

Lots of texture on this one: crinkly ribbon, crocheted trim, little pennants at the bottom and a few pearls.  I fought with the look and feel of this card until the very end… and I actually like how it turned out. ;)

TSG179: Farm Fresh

Hello Crafty Friends!

I’m sharing a very Autumn card that I made for this week’s challenge at There She Goes.  I used the fabulous Poultry in Motion stamp set and my favorite designer paper of the moment: Thankful from Authentique.

LatteInspiration_FarmFreshGoods_DanielleLounds

The challenge this week is a color challenge inspired by Kelly’s favorite drink.  Looks tasty, doesn’t it?  You can see all of the details for the challenge on the TSG blog.

tsg179

I used the character image from the set as well as the pie and oven mitt stamps.  I did a TON of paper piecing on this one.  The oven mitts are one layer, the pie another, then there are two layers for the apron, the dress and finally the base layer. Oh and the shoes are another layer.  But it was worth it… really it was… and it gave me something to do while watching television. :D

LatteInspiration_FarmFreshGoods_Closeup_DanielleLounds

Besides the main image I kept the rest of the card to the basics: designer paper and some die cutting using Nestabilities dies.  For embellishment, some dots of Liquid Pearls, brads (seems like forever since I’ve used them) and a short length of gold grosgrain ribbon.

LatteInspiration_FarmFreshGoods_Sideview_DanielleLounds

So what do you think?  Does that pie look tasty? :)

Recipe:
Stamps: Poultry in Motion (TSG).
Paper: Butter Mints (Bazzill Card Shoppe), Greens (PTI), Choice Snow White (TE), Thankful designer (Authentique).
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Copic markers.
Accessories: Ripe Avocado Liquid Pearls (Ranger), Gold Grosgrain (May Arts), heavy duty white thread and sewing machine, Labels Nestabilities (Spellbinders), brads (Recollections), foam dimensionals.

Fairy Good Day

Hello Crafty Peeps -

It seems like it has been forever since I’ve had time to ink up a My Favorite Things stamp but I had some free time this weekend so I made a card or two. :) Here is the first using Believe in Magic:

FairyGoodDayGlammed_DanielleLounds

I used a lot of different shiny and/or glittery items to decorate this card: Platinum Liquid Pearls on the oval die cut, Frost Smooch Glitz on her wings, Illuminate Smooch on her skirt and the flower in her hair, rhinestones here and there, and finally Tarnished Brass Distress Stain to distress the designer paper.

FairyGoodDayGlammed_ImageCloseup_DanielleLounds

Love how the stained look turned out; I will have to do this again.  It adds a lot of color and glimmer but is thin enough that the pattern of the designer paper is still visible beneath it.

FairyGoodDayGlammed_StainCloseup_DanielleLounds

I rarely stamp the inside of cards but I didn’t have room for a sentiment on the outside (too much glitter I guess).  I kept it simple and left plenty of room to write.

FairyGoodDayGlammed_Inside_DanielleLounds

Later gators!  I’m off to do some grocery shopping – cupboards are looking a little bare and I’m hungry for something other than pancakes. :)

Recipe:
Stamps:
Believe in Magic (MFT Stamps).
Paper: Kraft (PTI), Jawbreaker (Bazzill Card Shoppe), Choice Snow White (TE), The Sweetest Thing – Bluebell designer (My Mind’s Eye).
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Crumb Cake (SU!), Copic markers.
Accessories: Platinum Liquid Pearls (Ranger), Frost Smooch Glitz and Illuminate Smooch (Clearsnap), rhinestones (Doodlebug), Aqua Mist double stitched ribbon (PTI), Natural Jute (May Arts), heavy duty white thread and sewing machine, foam dimensionals, Oval and Scalloped Oval Nestabilities (Spellbinders).

SC408: Trick or Treat

Hello everyone -

I’ve been making a bunch of cards just for fun over the last several days.  Which is great because I’ve been able to ink up a bunch of neglected stamps that haven’t seen ink… ever.

SC408_ZeldaZombie_DanielleLounds

I made this Halloween card for this week’s sketch challenge over at SplitCoastStampers: SC408.  I used Zelda the Zombie, a Kraftin’ Kimmie stamp, and some great designer paper from Echo Park.  I should make a few more Halloween projects… I really only needed a couple of Halloween paper pads but I bought more than that.  Oops.  I did the same for Christmas.  Double oops! ;)

SC408_ZeldaZombie_Closeup1_DanielleLounds

Zelda was colored with Copic markers and I used a Silver Copic Spica pen to add highlight her hair and the bolts in her head.  The sentiment is from a Whipper Snapper cling set and the tin pin (I LOVE these pins) is from October Afternoon.

SC408_ZeldaZombie_Closeup2_DanielleLounds

Here is a side shot so you can see the dimension.  I had fun  making this card and I hope you enjoyed it! :)

You can find all the details on their challenge HERE.  They have oodles of great sketches. :)

TSG178: Immeasurable Love

Hello Crafty Friends!

There has been a little hiccup with the TSG release for this week and it is being delayed.  So I have lots of TSG goodness created… I just can’t share most of it yet. ;)  However I did make a card for this week’s challenge using Lovebots; one of the sets I’ve been meaning to use for a long time.

TSG178_ImmeasurableLove_DanielleLounds

This week’s challenge is a sketch inspired by a card that Kim O. made.  You can see all of the details for the challenge HERE. There is still quite a bit of time left to enter so make a card or two!  Here is the sketch:

TSG178

I stamped the robot twice, once on Choice Snow White cardstock and a second time on Taffy cardstock.  I colored the first image and cut out (it took a long time to cut out the hands!).  I adhered the cutout image over the first and then added Glossy Accents here and there.  I also dabbed dots of Petal Pink Liquid Pearls along the edge of the diecut circle.

TSG178_ImmeasurableLove_Closeup1_DanielleLounds

I followed the layout to a T.  I used a Corner Chomper to create the rounded ends on the designer paper.  Oh… and you see those little pink pearls?  They were originally white and I colored them with a Copic marker (RV13) to match the papers.

TSG178_ImmeasurableLove_Closeup2_DanielleLounds

That’s it for me tonight!

Recipe:
Stamps: Lovebots (TSG).
Paper: Taffy(Bazzill Card Shoppe), Scarlet Jewel and Autumn Rose (PTI), Choice Snow White (TE), Love Me designer (My Mind’s Eye).
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Copic markers.
Accessories: Pearls (Queen & Co), Petal Pink Liquid Pearls and Glossy Accents (Ranger), Burgundy Grosgrain and Raspberry Ric Rac (May Arts), heavy duty white thread and sewing machine, Corner Chomper (We R Memory Keepers), foam dimensional tape (TE), Circl Nestabilities (Spellbinders).

TSG177: Best witches…

Hello Crafty Friends -

I have a last minute card for last week’s TSG challenge to make a card/project with a Fall or Halloween them.  You can see all of the details for the challenge HERE (there are still a couple of hours left to enter).

TSG177FallFun_TrickOrTreaters_DanielleLounds

I used the Hauntingly Delightful stamp set to create a little group of trick or treaters.  I used Stickles to add some sparkle to the ghost and vampire (they are the fashionable men about town types).  The mummy is a bit crazy (brain-deprived) so I gave him glossy orange eyes.  Me want brains… brains… brains.. ;)

TSG177FallFun_TrickOrTreaters_Closeup_DanielleLounds

That’s it for me tonight.  I’ll be back with plenty of TSG goodness next week.

C4C159: Happy Haunting

Hello Crafty Friends -

Sparkle Creations Rubber Stamps is sponsoring this week’s challenge from Crazy 4 Challenges.  It is an easy Halloween one featuring a color combo of Orange | Black | Purple.  I thought it would be fun to play along, so I made this card featuring Autumn Rin:

AutumnRin_DanielleLounds_ForC4C

I thought it would be fun to give Rin some purple hair and a Halloween colored kimono.  She is all set to do some trick or treating. :)  The “happy hauntings” sentiment comes with the Franken Josh stamp.

AutumnRin_Closeup1_DanielleLounds_ForC4C

I created some hills behind Rin using designer paper and some Diamond Black Stickles.  It is not easy to see but I also embossed the gray cardstock.

There She Goes Again: You’re a Hoot!

Hello Crafty Friends -

Every month the There She Goes takes a bit of time to feature some older stamp sets in hopes of bringing you fresh inspiration and on Friday the Trendsetters put ink to stamp to create some fabulous new samples! This week we featured these spooky sets:

TSGA_WhatAHoot_DanielleLounds

For my card I pulled out You’re a Hoot! and made this fun card featuring lots of red, beige and brown!

TSGA_WhatAHoot_Closeup1_DanielleLounds

Simple layout all though I did spice it up by using strips of designer paper to create the background behind the owls.  Stitching, ribbon, twine and embossing for accent!

SCRS Release Day: Pink Ribbon Emily

Hello everyone!

Today is release day at Sparkle Creations Rubber Stamps but first we have another stamp to show you! Yesterday we had Lucy chatting up a storm and today we have Emily taking up a great cause: Breast Cancer awareness! Without further ado, here is Pink Ribbon Emily:

PinkRibbonEmily_DanielleLounds

I stamped Emily in black ink and colored with Copic markers, adding a touch of glimmer to the ribbon using Pink and Clear Spica pens.  After cutting out, I added Diamond Stickles to her cute little wings and Glossy Accents to the ribbon.

PinkRibbonEmily_Closeup1_DanielleLounds

The main panel was cut using an Oval Nestabilities die and then embossed.  I added dots of white using a white paint pen.  Lots of ribbon, a few pearls and a pink flower were just the embellishments I needed.

Hello everyone!

Today is the first day of previews for Sparkle Creations Rubber Stamps and we are excited about the new stamps this month! First up is the new Chit Chat Lucy stamp (she will be available for purchase on Saturday).

ChitChatLucy_DanielleLounds

For my card I used Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge 169 for the layout, but I did rotate it just a bit. I was in the mood for bling and sparkle – lots of Diamond Stickles (even on the flowers), itty bitty clear rhinestones, sparkly Goosebumps and a bit of Glossy Accents on the phone.

TSG: Just for You – Halloween Additions Blog Hop

Hello Crafty Friends – I’m back with more TSG sneak peek goodness!

Blog Hop Graphic - JFY Halloween Additions

Created by Torico to go along with the original Just For You set, this Halloween Additions set is perfect for all your Halloween gift giving needs. Not only has she created some of the CUTEST images and sayings, there are now DIES to go along with it! *The circles can be punched out with a 1 3/8” punch.  *There will be a total of four dies to go with this set. One for each of the big shapes and then a set of nesting banner dies.

Just For You-Halloween Additions is a 6x8 set that includes a total of 28 stamps and will sell for $24.00.  Just For You Dies are a 4 piece set and will sell for $31.50.

JustForYouHalloweenBox_AllStacked_DanielleLounds

As soon as I saw this set I just knew I need to make a set of treat boxes.  I designed some simple boxes and cut them out using the Silhouette.  The boxes were designed with a window in the front so that the contents can peek through (I used a sheet of acetate to cover the opening).

JustForYouHalloweenBox_Boots_DanielleLounds

For each box I stamped one of the larger labels on white cardstock and on designer paper.  I trimmed both (I don’t have the dies yet – but I will soon!) and adhered them together.  Next I stamped the circle images and cut out using a circle die.  I also stamped the banners and cut them out.  Next I colored and colored some more using Copic markers.  The inner part of the banner was colored with a T1 marker and the outside edge with T5.  I then applied Diamond Stickles along the edges of the banner and once mostly dry I filled in the rest of the banner with Glossy Accents.

Once everything was dry I assembled the boxes and adhered the stamped images together using foam dimensionals.  I finished with some orange/black gingham ribbon and a couple of tiny epoxy bats. :)

JustForYouHalloweenBox_Closeup_DanielleLounds

I thought you would like to see each of the boxes separately.  All of the images in this set are fantastic!  I like to color so I used the line drawn images for each of my treat boxes, however there are also solid images for those who prefer to ink and be done!
