December 25th

If you guessed from the title of this post that I’m sharing a Christmas card, you would be correct. I think this is only the second one that I’ve made this year.  Oh yeah, I’m not going to be making any last minute cards this year.  I’m being just a bit sarcastic. ;)

There were a few steps to this card. I created the background using a stencil and Brushed Pewter Distress Paint. Once dry I sponged with Antique Linen and Crushed Olive Distress Ink.

Main image was stamped in Jet Black Archival Ink and watercolored with Distress Markers. I added some Glossy Accents and a bit of Clear Rock Candy glitter.

For embellishment I used Lost and Found Christmas designer paper (My Mind's Eye), a mini paper clip, some film strip, black grosgrain ribbon, and stitching.

Stamps: CMS136 Mini Blueprints (Stamper’s Anonymous).
Paper: Black (MFT), watercolor, Lost and Found Christmas (My Mind’s Eye).
Ink: Crushed Olive and Antique Linen Distress Ink (Ranger), Jet Black Archival (Ranger), Distress markers (Ranger).
Accessories: heavy duty white thread and sewing machine, black grosgrain (May Arts), mini clip, tiny attacher, and film strip (Idea-ology), Liquid Pearls, Glossy Accents, Rock Candy Distress Glitter (Ranger), foam tape.
