Hello Deerie Tag.

Evening crafty peeps -

Here is a quick post of a delightfully red tag that I made the other night. It features images from Critters in the Snow (Lawn Fawn) and CMS106 – Papillon (Stamper’s Anonymous) stamp sets. Pairing cute with shabby elegant? Sure, why not?!

The main image is a deer from the Critters in the Snow stamp set that I stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black and colored with Copic markers. After trimming I attached the deer to a panel cut out using the Circles & Labels, Stitched die set from Sizzix.

For embellishment I pulled some neglected items from my stash – tissue tape and remnant rubons. I also added a few black gems here and there.

I created the background using Gelatos applied directly to the large stamp image from CMS101 – Papillon, spritzed with water and then stamped on the tag. After heat setting, I sponged the edges with Vintage Photo Distress Ink, stamped a snowflake in Red Geranium Archival Ink, and the sentiment in Jet Black Archival Ink.

Answering some emails I’ve received recently:

Number One: I’ve had a few inquiries asking if I would be selling any of my There She Goes stamps. Sorry - I don’t have any plans at this time to do so. I’m a bit attached to them.

Number Two: Every once in a while I get a question on coloring with Copic markers. I have not written any tutorials myself but if there is interest I could do a few posts on how I color. Give me a heads up if that is something you would be interested in.

Have a good night!
