Hello, hello. Hope you have been having a good week. I’m back to the normal work schedule after a fun four day weekend that I spent with my mom. Mostly shopping. And doing a bit of crafting. Good times. ;)
I made this 3-D jar a couple weeks ago but forgot to blog it. Bad blogger. Bad. I used the Canning Jars Scoreboards XL Die to cut out the pieces from chipboard. I added a bit of burlap and twine to decorate the lid. Not sure I would use the burlap again… it is very bulky and difficult to adhere in place.
Before assembling the pieces I covered them in designer paper and sponged the edges with Distress Ink. I also used Super Fine Gold embossing powder and the Urban Chic stamp set to add a bit of detail to the jar.
I wanted the top to be shiny so I heat embossed it with Clear Emboss It ink and Clear Ultra Thick Embossing Enamel. For a final touch I stamped a sentiment from Simple Sayings in Jet Black Archival Ink on a piece of designer paper and trimmed before gluing to the jar. I also added a couple of pearls.
Last but not least, I filled the jar with some kraft paper filler and chocolate. Nom nom nom.
Hope you enjoyed this project. Let me know if you have any questions.
