Hiya – while I was working on my last project and had the embossing paste out I thought it would be fun to use the Harlequin Layering Stencil and apply some to a piece of white cardstock. I then set it aside and forgot about it for a day or two until last night. I decided it would be the perfect start for this card:
I took the now dried piece of cardstock and painted it with Tumbled Glass Distress Paint. I used a heat tool to dry it until most of it was dry and then used a paper towel to wipe off the remaining wet paint. This created a nicely textured background for my card.
I die cut out the Hello sentiment using the Chunky Alphas die set from Taylored Expressions and adhered it to the panel using dimensionals. I then layered the panel on black cardstock and added jute and a little silver charm. Love these charms from the Inspiration Emporium store. Really need to use them more often.
The card was still missing a little something, so I used Label Letters to spell out “Sweets” on a piece of kraft cardstock. I trimmed to size and mounted it on the panel with more foam dimensionals.
