CC3C7: Early start on Halloween

Hello – I have another project that I want to share today. I’m squeezing this tag in just before the deadline for the latest Compendium of Curiosities 3 Challenge: #7 Painted Industrial. There is still a bit of time left if you want to also play along, especially since there are a couple of great prizes including a gift certificate from the Inspiration Emporium.

I know it is only August but I just purchased the Critters in Costume (Lawn Fawn) set and Halloween Layering Stencil and really wanted to use them on a project. And Halloween is fun… so I’m getting an early start!

I used the Painted Industrial technique on the two circles, in particular I used the Gears Embossing Folder. I used the Halloween Layering Stencil and sprayed a manila tag with Fresh Lime Dylusions Ink Spray. For a bit more texture I used the Tim Holtz Spritzer and a Mowed Lawn Distress Marker to add little spatters of ink here and there.

Next I stamped the witchy cat from the stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on white cardstock and colored with Copic markers. Used a Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Pen to add shimmer to the hat. Stamped the “boo” chat bubble on green cardstock and cut out. For more Halloween goodness I used Mini Spider & 31 Movers and Shapers to die cut some shimmery silver paper and added those to the tag. For a final touch I added some jute string near the spider and black baker’s twine to the tag top.

Hope you enjoyed this project! See you soon with more crafty inspiration.
