Holly Jolly

Hello! I’m back with another project I made for Dare to Get Dirty and this one features stamps from the newest Tim Holtz release. It is also one of the first Christmas cards I’ve made this year.

I will say that this is probably as rustic as I can be in my stamping. I love the look. I’m just not that good at it.

Card details: stamped background from Holiday Knits in Clear Emboss It! ink on kraft cardstock and heat embossed with Vintage Photo Distress embossing powder. Once cooled I rounded the corners and sponged the edges with Vintage Photo Distress Ink (also sponged the other elements of the card with this same ink).

For the main image I stamped the holly from Mini Blueprints 7 on designer paper and cut out with a stitched circle die (My Favorite Things). I then stamped the same image two more times on white cardstock. I colored portions of each image with Copic markers and cut out. The layers were adhered together and then stuck to the circle with foam tape. Once assembled I added a bit of Glossy Accents.

To finish the card I added some green jute, a bit of patterned corrugated card stock and label letter stickers. And some sewing of course.

I have to say that I LOVE the Holiday Knits background stamps… you may be seeing these on more projects from me.

Thanks for stopping by. I hope you have a jolly day!
