Merry and Joy Tags

Hello! Last weekend I have a few people over for a fun tag class and these three pretties were a few of the projects I designed for them.

First up is a Merry tag featuring an Ornate Plate painted red with Festive Berries Distress Paint. The tag base was cute from a vanilla cardstock using Framelits Tag Collection Die set and the edges were embellished with dots of Bisque Liquid Pearls. My students weren’t very enthused about doing the dots… I considered that an optional step. “Merry” was spelled out using Label Letters.

Second tag features some new Lawn Fawn goodies: Snow Day stamp set and Forest Border die cut. I cut the green border two times: the first time with the Forest Border die and then I used a circle die to cut out a portion of the border. That is it for tricks on this tag – the rest is should be obvious but let me know if you have any questions.

For the third tag I broke out the alcohol inks to create a soft green and blue mottled look on glossy cardstock. I then used the Scripty Joy die to cut out the joy from the colored cardstock and from 3 pieces of white cardstock. I adhered the layers together to create a stacked sentiment and then coated the top layer with Glossy Accents. Embellished the tag with some twill ribbon, sequins, and a flair badge I made from a bit of designer paper.

What do you think? Fun? Any questions just let me know.

  1. Love your tags!! Glad you made the liquid pearl dots optional!! I have some liquid pearls but always hesitate to use them - any tips for making such uniform dots like you do?

  2. Love the tags and the gift warp idea I pin for future inspiration ! Thank you :)

Thanks for your sweet comments! I love hearing from you. :)
