CC3C: Jolly Christmas Card

Hello Crafty Friends -

There are still a few days left to play along with the latest Compendium of Curiosities 3 Challenge to use a Tim Holtz Cabinet Card Pocket. And before I forget, there is an awesome prize this week from the Inspiration Emporium.

I used the cabinet card pocket to hold a tag with a sentiment… just followed the instructions in the book. Then I did a bunch of decorating with some of my favorite embellishments. I had a crackled heart left over from a prior treat bag project so I started with it and sprayed it with Barn Door Distress Stain Spray to add color.

Next I tied a word band in place with a piece of white ribbon that I colored with Peacock Feathers Distress Stain Spray and Walnut Stain Distress Ink.

Added some film strip ribbon – one of my all time favorites. Then added some remnant rubs here and there.

I die cut a tag and embellished the top with a small piece of folded over designer paper and a number brad. Sponged all of the edges with Walnut Stain Distress Ink.

To finish the tag I added another remnant rub. No stamping on this project… shocker! For a final touch I added a few sequins.

Such a fun project. I’ll have to alter a few more of this pockets. :D

Coupon Alert!  If you are shopping at the Inspiration Emporium you can use coupon code fatcatstamper for 10% off your order. Pictured below are links to some of the products I used to create this card.
