Owl Valentine Bags

Hello crafty friends -

Today I have some sweet owl treat bags that I made for Valentines Day to share with you. They were inspired by two challenges. The first is this week’s Crazy 4 Challenges challenge to make a Blingy Queeny Valentines card. Well, I didn’t make a card, instead I made blinged out owl bags. The second challenge is from the Inspiration Emporium and it is Love is in the Air, to make a valentine or use some new CHA goodie that you are in love with.

I made three bags and each of them is slightly different than the others, using different colors and a couple of different embellishments. The first box features a crocheted flower with a crystal brad in the center.

I added handles to each box using jumbo eyelets and floral wire. From the handle I hung a little coordinating tag that was decorated with a flair button, chit chat stickers, a bit of designer paper, ad rhinestones. I used the same rhinestones on each scallop on the owl’s belly.

My second treat box has different colors and a pretty pink striped bow.

There is also a similar tag… oh, and each box is filled with both Smarties and Dove Dark Chocolates. Nom nom nom!

The third box has more of the same with a pink polka dot bow.

Another valentine flair button that I designed. Love adding these to projects for a bit of dimension. :)

Here is a close-up… lots of rhinestones, and I used a pearlescent white cardstock for the owl eyes and belly.
