Believe in Yourself

I found some time to make a tag to share with you tonight. I’ve been a busy bee this month so I haven’t had much time to craft. Unless you considering painting the kitchen crafting. ;)

I was in the mood for texture and I had a new product sitting on my desk waiting to be used: Texture Tools from Ranger. Perfect! I painted a manila tag with white gesso and let dry. I then slathered the tag with Texture Paste and used one of the texture tools to remove some of the paste here and there. I let the paste dry and then brushed the tag with Sakura Koi watercolors to add some color and bring out the detail of the texture more.

I loved the look of the stenciled background of this card so much that I decided to use the same technique on this tag. This time I used the Stars stencil and a range of watercolors from yellow to blue. Once the paint dried I stamped a sentiment from Group Hugs (Paper Smooches) in Clear Emboss It ink and heat embossed with black embossing powder. A little ribbon and mirrored stars finished the tag.

Thanks for stopping by! See you soon!

PS: if you are shopping at the Inspiration Emporium you can use coupon code fatcatstamper for 10% off your order. Pictured below are links to some of the products I used to create this tag.
