TE Sneak Peeks: Grouchy Grumplings

Hello Crafty Friends -

I’m delighted to be back today with another sneak peek at the new release from Taylored Expressions. One of my favorite lines of stamps to illustrate is the Grumplings and I’m delighted to share that there is a new addition to the line: Grouchy Grumplings! These little dudes are especially exasperated by everyday life and are not afraid to show it. Rise and shine in the morning? Not gonna happen!

GrouchyGrumplingTagSamples_A_DanielleLounds I used two images from the set to make a couple of shaker tags. But before I get into the details on making the tags…

Both tags use the dies from Build a Tag 2 and have the same layout just flipped a bit to showcase the images better. For each tag I cut two tags from Salt Water Taffy cardstock and then used the square die to cut an opening in the second tag. I then lined the opening with acetate and adhered a piece of cardstock to the front of the first tag. I then added foam tape around the opening to create a box, added sequins, and adhered the two tags together. Shake shake shake. I embellished with a bit of bakers twine and added a couple of flags cut from coordinating cardstock.

There are coordinating dies for the Grouchy Grumplings that made cutting out the images after coloring easy peasy. I used to fussy cut all of my images by hand… I’ve been so spoiled by coordinating dies. They do take a bit of the grumpling out of crafting. lol. ;)
