Make it Jolly Tags–Day 4

Hello! I’m back with another set of tags tonight. It has been a while size I’ve made a shaker so I got my fix by making a set of three shaker tags.

There is quite a bit of detail on these tags and it all starts with the shakers. I used two stamp sets for the main image: Flirty Frames from Lawn Fawn and Calendar Critters form Taylored Expressions. First I stamped the frames and then masked them so that I could stamp the little penguin peeking out of the frame. I used the coordinating Flirty Frames dies to cut out the frame and then trimmed the inside edge with a pair of scissors. I also used the same die to cut out a piece of acetate to line the window and to cut a piece from white cardstock to use as the back of the shaker. Between the baker and the acetate I created a wall by cutting skinny lengths from foam tape and filled the shaker with a variety of sequins.

The frames and penguins were colored with Copic markers and embellished with Glossy Accents and a bit of glitter.

I then cut a tag base from white cardstock and colored a piece of watercolor paper with Sakura Koi Watercolors using the Tim Holtz Zigzag Stencil as a guide. Once dry I cut the watercolor paper to size and adhered to the tag base.

Next I stamped a sentiment from CMS249 Scribbly Christmas on red cardstock and trimmed to size. I adhered the sentiment in place and embellished with a few different washi tapes.

I finished by adhering the shaker in place with more foam tape and embellished with a few sequins and some baker’s twine. So what do you think? I think they turned out both “merry” and “bright”.
