Hello! I have a fun birthday card to share featuring one of my favorite illustrations for Taylored Expressions called Paw-some. Love the little birdies, aka Party Supervisors. This image is extra fun because it comes with a coordinating die. I used to just fussy cut my images with a pair of paper snips but must admit the coordinating dies have really spoiled me.
The main image was stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black on white cardstock, colored, and die cut. I sponged another piece of white cardstock with Tumbled Glass Distress Ink, using a piece of paper cut out with the Clouds Border Die (Taylored Expressions) as a guide. I colored the ground using Copic markers.
If the green/yellow/aqua background looks familiar it is because I created it while making the background for THIS CARD. Check it out if you want more details on how I accomplished the look.
The sentiment was stamped on the background using Archival Jet Black Ink. I finished the card by embellishing it with a doily, vintage seam binding, washi tape, and green enamel dots. I die cut a couple of flags using the Tim Holtz Ribbon Flags Decorative Strip Die from aqua cardstock and tucked them behind the background panel. Some foam tape was used here and there as usual.
Any questions, just let me know!
