TE Release Day: Oodles of hearts

Hello everyone!

Today is release day at Taylored Expressions but before you hop over there to get a crafty fix I have several projects that I wanted to share with you.

First up I used the Heart of Hearts stamp set to make a quick card.

The flower image fits perfectly in one of the Heart Stacklets dies and the set comes with a heart die that I used to cut out a smaller heart from felt. I used my sewing machine for the first time in forever to stitch the hearts together.

A little embossing, a sentiment flag, and enamel dots finished the card.

For my second card I pulled out the new Love is an Adventure stamp set and created a simple outdoor scene. I paper pieced the balloon from various designer papers and cardstock.

I wanted a tiny sentiment so I used the “much love” from the Critter Correspondence stamp set. I finished the card with a bit of twine and a few pink enamel dots.

For my final project I used the Quick Critters stamps and dies set to make a couple of cute Valentine tags. I used the piggy and doggy yesterday so today I just had to feature the cow and owl.

The cow says “moo.”

And the owl goes “hoot.”

To make the tags I die cut various layers from cardstock/designer paper using the Build a Tag 2 die set. So easy! The hardest part was tying the bows on top.

TE Sneak Peek Day: Bugs and Jars and Critters

Hello!
I’m excited to share sneak peeks of not one but three new stamp sets from Taylored Expressions. First up is the new Bugs & Kisses set.

I must admit I’m not found of ‘real’ bugs but some cute paper ones are quite acceptable. The set includes three darling bugs and matching sentiments. There are also coordinating dies to make cutting out easy.

For this card I used one of the bugs and built a scene using the Build a Scene Calendar die set. I must admit… this is probably my favorite project this release. lol.

For my second card I used the Bugs & Kisses stamp set again and the new Mason Jar stamp set. The Mason Jar also has a coordinating die set that can be used to cut out the jar and it includes a die to cut an opening in the jar to make shaker cards easy.

I used Zig watercolor markers to color the image and added some glitter to make the wings sparkly.

For my third project I used the new Quick Critters and coordinating dies to make a couple of quick and easy Valentine cards. The set includes four animal face stamps and then there are matching dies to cut out animal silhouettes.

The first card features the puppy. Woof.

And the second card features the piggy. Oink.

There are also a cow and and owl. I’ll be sharing a project with them tomorrow.
